Christmas Candlelight Service

One of our most precious Christmas traditions

at Grace Church,
is our annual candlelight service.

Parishioners and friends gather

to celebrate the sacred birth of Jesus,

through a poignant worship service,

with Holy Eucharist,

and the lighting of candles together

while singing "Silent Night."

A treasured evening.

"In him was life, and that life

was the light of all mankind.

The light shines in the darkness,

and the darkness has not overcome it."

John 1:4-5 (NIV)

Parishioners in a dimly lit church hold glowing candles while singing during an evening candlelight service.

"You, Lord, are my lamp;

the Lord turns my darkness into light."

2 Samuel 22:29

A girl in a red coat looks down reverently at two lit white candles she's holding in a dark, candlelit church setting.

"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light,

we have fellowship with one another,

and the blood of Jesus, his Son,

purifies us from all sin."

1 John 1:7
