Youth and Family Services

Grace Church has had a long relationship with Old Saybrook's Youth and Family Services, as a mission-partner.   Among other things, we work together with Y&FS by hosting Social Services Help Day every month to provide a central location for people to access the resources they need, and to speak to others who can help direct them to those resources.

Our own Elaine Seaforth volunteers her administrative help during Y&FS's Social Service Help Days at Grace Church.

In addition to Social Service Help Days, Grace Church has also hosted events for Y&FS's Youth Action Council (YAC).  Most recently, the YAC teenagers held a dinner at Grace Church's parish hall, where they invited their families to hear about all the good work they are doing in the local area.

Some of Grace Church's own teenagers have been very active in YAC activities within our community.

Finally, among other things, Grace Church also works with Youth & Family Services by contributing time and donations to their Holiday Giving Program, aimed at helping local families in need during the holidays.  One of our dear long-time parishioners, Bunnie Lubs, contributes every year by organizing secret shoppers for The Giving Tree, and running the Socks for All campaigns.
